On the 5th anniversary of the horror that was Hurricane Katrina, I wanted to dedicate all of my posts today to the lives lost - due to the storm, the displaced families, the mentally anguished, physically disabled and economically challenged - You are not forgotten. Let us remember New Orleans for its incredibly beautiful & resilient spirit - One that I first experienced in 1984 when my family "drove" from Philly to New Orleans to attend The World's Fair. The experience was both amazing & unforgettable. Despite its current state, let us not forget the great strength, and "laissez les bon temps roulez" spirit of the city, that is eternal and will carry the city through its trials & tribulations.
