"The Artist and a Sense of Place", was an 2002 educational outreach program, in collaboration with New Orleans 6th grade students, highlighting the history of the French Quarter & some of the most notable 19th century Free People of Color. Jose Torres Tama was the first visual artist to be chosen for residency. Read more about the project here.
